Our History

The Boathouse Marine Center, formerly the Hideaway Marina, is a full service marina providing seasonal and annual dry boat storage in our secure and enclosed 40,000 square foot facility. We offer dockside inboard and outboard service and have a complete service and parts department across all boat lines. The Boathouse was originally built in 1986 by the prominent marina builder, Roof and Rack of Boca Raton. For years, Hideaway Marina was the largest dry stack storage facility in South Florida and served as a showcase for Roof and Rack’s storage system. With 160 permitted dry storage slips and 21 wet slips, the marina has been reconfigured several times to accommodate today’s boats with wider beams and greater length over all. Under new ownership as of March 2013, Robert Roschman and Paul Larkin are committed to the continued improvement of the customer experience at the Boathouse Marine Center. With over 50 years of experience across a myriad of businesses including marina, retail, restaurant and real estate, they have performed a series of improvements like constructing new seawall and 9 foot walkway along the wet slips, new chikee hut and lush landscaping to beautify the marina. Please check back for continued improvements!
